Hendon Hooker has been a top 3 quarterback in college football this season. There’s a legitimate case for No. 1, too.

The former Virginia Tech transfer turned Tennessee superstar won the Allstate Sugar Bowl Manning Award QB of the Week for Week 11, marking his 4th time winning the award this season. He’s the first QB to do so since Baker Mayfield won the award 4 times at Oklahoma in 2017.

As far as college QBs are concerned, that’s not bad company.

Of course, Hooker and Tennessee are looking to avoid the Sugar Bowl at all costs right now. Tennessee is on track for a spot in the College Football Playoff, but may still need some help with TCU and USC bringing up the rear.

The Vols must first finish the regular season without a loss, facing off against South Carolina and Vanderbilt to end the year.
