Hendon Hooker needs to have a Heisman Trophy campaign and he needs to have it starting tomorrow.

The Tennessee quarterback has been magnificent this year, and that continued on Saturday afternoon in the Vols’ statement win over rival Florida.

Hooker accounted for more than 400 yards of offense, throwing for more than 300 yards and running for 100 more against the Gators. He had 2 touchdown passes and 1 scoring run, too.

Now, it’s not out of the question to put him in the Heisman conversation. In fact, that’s exactly what many fans did on social media following Saturday’s win over Florida:

Can Hooker continue to put up big numbers? He’ll have opportunities to shine against Georgia and Alabama later this season. We’ll see if he continues his elite start to the 2022 season.
