James Robinson was one of a handful of Tennessee players to enter the NCAA transfer portal this offseason. Now, he has reached a decision on his future.

After coming to Knoxville as part of the Vols’ 2020 class as a 3-star guard out of Montgomery, Alabama, Robinson is transferring closer to home.

As you can see below, he took to Twitter recently to reveal he was heading to South Alabama for the 2022 season:

In 2 years on Rocky Top, Robinson didn’t play in 2020 due to the pandemic and only appeared in 1 game during the 2021 campaign.

South Alabama is a member of the Sun Belt Conference and finished the 2021 season with a 5-7 overall record.
