Tennessee freshman quarterback Jauan Jennings made headlines this offseason after a strong spring game performance. Jennings was an early enrollee with the Vols. He was also named the Tennessean’s football player of the year in 2014.

However, a new report has surfaced from WGNS News Radio, which serves Rutherford County, Tenn., that says Jennings could face assault and theft charges after an alleged incident at a graduation party. According to the report, Jennings allegedly assaulted a high school graduate and took valuables inside a car after damaging it.

Assistant athletics director for media relations Jason Yellen told the station that Tennessee is aware of the alleged incident and is awaiting a report from a fact-finding body.
