Jeff Fisher shares latest on his involvement with Tennessee's coaching search
The Tennessee Volunteers have hired former UCF AD Danny White as their new athletic director, but they still need a new head football coach to replace the recently fired Jeremy Pruitt.
A number of names have been connected to the position, but we haven’t heard much from former Tennessee Titans and St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams coach Jeff Fisher.
On Monday, he said during a radio appearance that he has been contacted by some people about the Vols’ opening, but he hasn’t heard from anyone in the decision-making process:
Former #Titans coach Jeff Fisher says on @ThePlasterShow that he has been contacted by some people regarding the #Vols coaching search, but has not heard from the decision makers in Knoxville.

Fisher hasn’t coached since 2016, so it seems unlikely that he’ll be a serious candidate for this opening.
But, as we’ve learned from previous coaching searches, anything is possible.
For Tennessee’s sake, I really hope they don’t hire Jeff Fisher.
He would be as good as anyone to get them through the probation. Then make you a major hire.
Agreed gator.
They need Fisher. He has been to a football game before and can spell Vols. Last I heard, those are the requirements to coach the little orange football team.

I saw Grudin and Manning having dinner in Knoxville. I think they are coming back and bringing Dabo Swinney in as a coordinator. I also heard Art Shell and Donald Trump were interested in the job and has interviews coming up.
I miss you so much. Friends?
He would not be high on my list.
Mine either.
While I would not hire him for my team, it’s a shame that he reached the skies and now is stuck looking at it.
