It’s Florida Week on Rocky Top, which means Jeremy Pruitt and his program are prepping for one of the biggest games of the season for Vol Nation.

Tennessee coaches are judged by how their teams perform in this game and last season’s results were just brutal for Pruitt in his first crack at the Gators, as his Volunteers lost 47-21 in Neyland Stadium.

Pruitt now has an opportunity to even the score against the Gators but it’s going to take a big upset to accomplish that in Gainesville for the Volunteers. If you missed it on Saturday night, Florida starting quarterback Feleipe Franks went down with an injury and backup Kyle Trask entered the game and rallied the Gators to a big road win over Kentucky.

On Monday, Pruitt met with the media for the first time to breakdown the Gators and was asked to share his thoughts on facing Kyle Trask, instead of Franks on Saturday.

“They ran their offense, same plays, nothing different, may have executed better,” Pruitt said. “Obviously, they scored more points there in a short period of time. He’s a guy that’s competed for the quarterback job, very talented and has experience.”

Tennessee and Florida are scheduled to meet at Saturday, Sept. 21 at Noon on ESPN.
