The headlining offensive signee in Tennessee’s 2020 recruiting class has not yet been able to take part in Volunteers’ fall camp. On Friday, Jeremy Pruitt revealed that quarterback Harrison Bailey has not yet practiced due to being in “quarantine.” In the media opportunity with reporters, Pruitt did not specify if Bailey is being quarantined for testing positive or as part of a contact-tracing/exposure measure.
Out of Marietta, Georgia, Bailey was rated 4-stars, the No. 3 pro-style quarterback and No. 99 overall prospect in the class of 2020. He enrolled at Tennessee in January. As an early enrollee, Bailey was able to take part in UT’s spring practice. The Volunteers were able to hold 3 practices before the NCAA shut down all spring sports in March due to the coronavirus outbreak.
In addition to Bailey, Tennessee returns 3 quarterbacks from last season: senior Jarrett Guarantano and sophomores Brian Maurer and J.T. Shrout.
Pruitt: QB Harrison Bailey has not practiced this week. I told you guys this week that we’ve had some guys in quarantine, and he’s one of them. #Vols
