Jeremy Pruitt's halftime quote is an indictment of his current Tennessee roster
Even though Tennessee has shown signs of life against Alabama, the Crimson Tide are still taking care of business in Knoxville.
The Vols are clearly outmatched, and coach Jeremy Pruitt — the former Alabama defensive coordinator — realizes that.
At halftime, he told the Vol Network that Tennessee isn’t going to be able to slow down Alabama until they get some more of Pruitt’s recruits in the mix:
“We’re not gonna slow them down til’ we get another recruiting cycle. I can tell you that.” – Jeremy Pruitt to Vol Network at halftime

The Vols probably aren’t going to come back in this game, but based on last week’s win over Auburn, the rebuild is already ahead of schedule.
It may take a couple more years, but Pruitt may make this rivalry a game again in the near future.
A bad carpenter blames his tools.
Hush up Troll – we knew this would be likely outcome today, after Botch “toonces” drove it off the cliff last season. I’d slap the cigar out of his mouth, given the chance.
Yep, It sounded like Pruitt was trying to pass the buck. It’s the players. You repeat that nonsense too many times and these guys will start resenting their head coach.
Pruitt didn’t play a down. The players aren’t as good Bama’s. If they were, they would have at least kept it close. Let Butch Jones coach the Bama team instead of Saban, and you’ll see. The kids at Tennessee were his recruits. He is a good recruiter, but can’t coach them. Surely you’ve seen how well Alvin Kamara is doing in the NFL compared to what he did at UT.
What coaching issues caused the loss, gump? How did these surpass the talent differential? Oh wait, they didn’t. Another low iq comment from a low iq gump from a low iq state.
