Joe Milton has quite the college journey.

The quarterback began his college journey at Michigan, spending 3 years with the Wolverines before transferring to Tennessee in 2021. Initially, Milton was the starter at Tennessee, but after an injury, Hendon Hooker ended up starting for the Vols in 2021 and 2022. This season, Milton has had his first full season as a starter for Tennessee.

He’s had a good season with 2,430 yards and 16 touchdowns. On Saturday, he closed out the regular season with 383 passing yards and 6 total touchdowns.

It’s not clear whether Milton will suit up for Tennessee’s bowl game. Regardless, he’s had quite the ride. After Tennessee’s win over Vanderbilt, Milton reflected on his journey.

“My journey’s been shaky, man,” Milton said in his postgame press conference. “Three years at Michigan. Covid. Got a chance but was hurt. Then came here. I thank everybody here for picking me up, having my back, helping me smile.”
