It’s no secret that Tennessee fans want coach Butch Jones fired. It’s also no secret that they want Jon Gruden as their next head coach.
Apparently, Vegas insiders think the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach has a good chance to land the Tennessee job, as his odds have improved once again.
A week ago, he was at +250 odds, but now he is already down to +175 odds:

The #Grumors continue to fly in Knoxville, which has kept Gruden’s name in the news. That likely is affecting his odds, as is the fact that he won’t rule out a return to the sidelines.
Whether Gruden would even be successful at the college level remains to be seen, but it sounds like momentum is building in his favor.
If and when Jones is actually fired, it’ll be interesting to see what happens to Gruden’s odds of becoming the Vols’ next coach.
