Josh Dobbs is a man of his word.

The former Tennessee quarterback made a rivalry bet with his Arizona Cardinals teammate D.J. Humphries, who played at Florida. Humphries won the friendly wager, meaning Dobbs had to wear Gator gear to his Wednesday press conference.

Dobbs was a good sport about it, but once the photo opportunity was over, he was quick to shed the Florida shirt layered over his Cardinals hoodie.

Dobbs will always be remembered in Tennessee-Florida folklore for the 2016 game. The aerospace engineering major did a different kind of engineering, leading an epic comeback, as Tennessee went from trailing by 21 points to winning 38-28.

Dobbs was responsible for 5 touchdowns in his final game against Florida, completing 16-of-32 passes for 319 yards and 4 TD while and rushing for 80 yards and 1 score on 17 carries. All 4 of his TD passes in the 2016 game were 20 yards or longer, including a memorable 67-yarder to Jauan Jennings.

Since his Tennessee career came to a close, Dobbs has been playing professionally. An NFL journeyman, Dobbs is filling as the Cardinals’ starting QB while Kyler Murray recovers from his knee injury.
