Josh Dobbs has been one of the best stories in the NFL this season. The former Tennessee Volunteer was thrust into the starting role for the Minnesota Vikings just days after the team traded for him.

Due to injuries to Kirk Cousins and rookie Jaren Hall, Dobbs was called upon and delivered for the first few weeks.

Dobbs led the Vikings to wins in his first 2 games as the starter. However, the team would then lose 2 in a row, and Dobbs would be benched in the Vikings’ most recent matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. Now, it’s been officially announced by the team that veteran backup Nick Mullens will be the starter going forward.

Mullens spent several weeks on injured reserve with a back injury, but is now fully healthy and will try to get the Vikings to the playoffs.

Through 5 games with the Vikings, Dobbs threw for 895 yards with 5 TDs and 5 INTs.
