Josh Heupel knows Neyland Stadium can get loud. He’s heard it both against Ole Miss in 2021 and Alabama in 2022.

There have been some big moments at Neyland this season, but Heupel wants his fanbase to outdo themselves for Week 12 against Georgia.

During Wednesday’s SEC teleconference Heupel noted the negative effect a crowd can have on a visiting opponent. Check out his response below:

I expect it to be as an electric atmosphere as we’ve ever had there, which is as good as there is in college football,” Heupel said. “Crowd noise can have a factor in the football game if you don’t do things, control the controllables, and operate and communicate effectively during the course of the game. Some of that happened to us last year. We need to make it extremely difficult for them to communicate. That needs to be a part of the football game and I certainly expect to see our crowd ready for this one when we kick off.”

Tennessee and Georgia face off at 3:30 p.m. ET from Neyland Stadium on CBS.
