Josh Heupel uses the scoreboard to answer Eli Drinkwitz’s offseason comments

Eli Drinkwitz took an offseason shot about Tennessee, and Josh Heupel appeared to remember those comments, and twist the knife late in the game on Saturday on Rocky Top.
About 4 months ago, Drinkwitz went on with Jim Rome and said these comments about Tennessee: “I thought you were going to introduce my record,” Drinkwitz said. “But with the latest allegations against Tennessee, let’s hold up on what my record is because I expect them to vacate some wins and that’s gonna help my record a little bit.”
Tennessee scored with 36 seconds left to make the final score 66-24, and that drive included a 58-yard pass, which sparked comments on social media of Heupel having the last laugh against Drinkwitz, and keeping the pedal to the metal.
Here’s a sample of some of the comments:
Eli Drinkwitz, your day of reckoning has come. We already dropped 62 on your ass last year, you better pray we don’t make it worse today. https://t.co/J7rbCNx88U

Eli Drinkwitz ran his mouth this summer about Tennessee and Josh Heupel is having none of it. I am so here for a coach who is petty. FINALLY.! #GBO

Is there beef between Josh Heupel and Eli Drinkwitz?

There is a reason Heupel did it. And it wasn’t to run up the score…
He’s a competitor and Drinkwitz ran his mouth for no reason this off season. pic.twitter.com/LoylchmQ4L

Drinkwitz is giving some good material to whomever makes that compilation of angry coaches playing against Heupel

Drinkwitz is gonna send a Trojan horse virus into Heupel computer for throwing 50 yard bombs up 35 with 2 to play. Most coaches would resort to fisticuffs, but every man knows his own capabilities.

If you don’t think that last td by Heupel was personal you’re wrong. He was absolutely sending a message to Drinkwitz and Mizzou

Somebody in the media room better ask Heupel what he said to Drinkwitz at the end of the game (whether he’d give a straight answer or not).
