It’s been an offseason of transition for Rick Barnes’ Tennessee program as several players have left for the NBA and the transfer portal in addition to a pair of assistant coaches left Rocky Top to become head coaches.

Barnes has already hired former Austin Peay assistant coach Rod Clark to join his Tennessee coaching staff and now the Vols have added former Marquette associate head coach, Justin Gainey.

Gainey played for NC State, where he was a three-year starter, he served as a team captain and was an honorable mention all-conference selection.

Gainey also has experience coaching at Arizona.
