While Memphis fans are trolling Tennessee with College GameDay signs, Kirk Herbstreit believes in the Vols under Jeremy Pruitt.

In fact, he made a rather strong prediction by saying Tennessee will go bowling.

“They’ve been struggling for a long time, and after that start, I thought it was going bad,” Herbstreit said Saturday morning. “And then they started buying into this new culture with Jeremy Pruitt, and man, I think they’re going to a bowl game.”

Herbsitreit’s comments come on the heels of the Vols winning their last two of three games against Mississippi State and South Carolina. The Alabama loss was sandwiched in between the two wins.

So, now, Tennessee sits 3-5 with upcoming games against UAB, Kentucky, Missouri and Vanderbilt — all winnable games, and the Vols just need to win three of those.

As things stand right now entering Week 10, ESPN’s Football Power Index has the Vols a favorite in just two of those games — UAB and Vanderbilt.

Will Tennessee win six games this year?
