Report: Nation's top JUCO prospect still hasn't signed LOI to play at Tennessee
Landing four-star DE Jonathan Kongbo was a major recruiting victory for Butch Jones’ 2016 recruiting class.
But according to a report from Rebels247, the nation’s top JUCO prospect is not officially a Vol just yet.
The report claims that Kongbo has yet to file his letter of intent six days after National Signing Day.

Needless to say, that’s a concerning development for a Tennessee team that has already celebrated the talented defender as one of its own.
According to SEC Country, which was able to contact Kongbo directly about the report late Monday, it is a matter of getting a signature from his father and not about an uncertain feelings towards the Vols program.
“My dad has been away,” Kongbo told SEC Country. “He will sign it when he gets home.”
When asked if he was looking at other schools, Kongbo said, “I’m not looking around. I’m not interested in anybody else.”
Kongbo has completed financial aid paperwork with Tennessee, which is how the school was able to promote him on signing day, according to the report.
Click Bait..
You mean anti competition propaganda from the sleezy media? Say it ain’t so.
Looks like other schools (Ole Miss?) are trying to stir the pot.
Not Ole Miss. We weren’t even in his top 3.
There’s just a guy that works for 247recruiting that is for OM that linked the information first since we went after him. No real news really
Didn’t the same thing happen last year to Florida this really isnt a story.
Signed financial aid paperwork legally locks him to Tennessee as I understand it.
He won’t be playing for ‘Ole Miss bagmen for at least another 2 years if at all…. or Auburn’s for that matter.
Read the comments above, OM is nowhere near getting him. Just happened that the guy that published the news worked for 247sports/ole miss
Just happened…
My point is he’s not going to OM, he’ll be a Vol by tomorrow and this story will be a wash. Just happened to be an Ole Miss researcher at 247 that found out to make us squabble over it
Good point.
‘Ole Miss researcher probably is one of the bag men.
JUCO is holding out for more money and a new SUV
Not that complicated
…but basketball season is here….oh wait…
Who cares? Only thing a LOI actually does is screw the player cause he has no out. I’m surprised there aren’t more 4 and 5 stars who don’t sign them. Only guys who really need to are 3 stars or the school will go after someone else. He’s probably waiting to make sure there isn’t any more coaching turnover before completely committing himself to the Vols.
Yeah if Peyton Manning becomes quarterback coach, he may want to rethink.
