Florida Atlantic head coach Lane Kiffin congratulated Tennessee’s newest head coach, Jeremy Pruitt, on Thursday via Twitter.

Pruitt was introduced as UT’s new man in charge at a press conference on Thursday evening.

Kiffin, who was the Volunteers’ head coach in 2009 and Alabama’s offensive coordinator from 2014 through 2016, has been quite invested in the Vols’ coaching search based on his activity on social media the past couple weeks.

There were plenty of Tennessee fans that would have taken Kiffin back as the head coach at many times during the drama-filled search.

Pruitt and Kiffin worked together last season at Alabama, as Pruitt served as the defensive coordinator and Kiffin served as the offensive coordinator.

“Go win it all,” Kiffin posted on Twitter. “Congrats Jeremy.”
