LOOK: Tennessee gets roasted on social media for having 4 punters in the NFL
On Wednesday, NFL roster breakdowns were making their way around Twitter, and one particular position-by-position breakdown caught people’s interest.
As you can see below, Bruce Feldman tweeted out the colleges that had the most players by position in the NFL.
The one that caught everyone’s eye was the fact that Tennessee has a whopping four punters in the NFL currently:
Who is the real DBU? RBU? Judging from NFL opening weekend rosters some of these results may surprise you. pic.twitter.com/4u119uMuw9

Those punters are:
- Trevor Daniel, Houston Texans
- Britton Colquitt, Cleveland Browns
- Dustin Colquitt, Kansas City Chiefs
- Michael Palardy, Carolina Panthers
Naturally, that statistic led to some jokes on social media, with fans roasting the Vols for their proficiency for creating NFL-caliber punters:
Tennessee would have the best punters since they get the most game reps https://t.co/HRLNhMUy4E

I'll never get over the fact that there are at least 4 punters from Tennessee in the NFL, and one of them is Michael Palardy

I think I'm most shocked at TCU providing the most OTs in the league. Also s/o Tennessee for all the punters #puntersarepeopletoo https://t.co/9w8esAmClh

One thing is for sure — this stat bodes well for current Tennessee P Joe Doyle.
