Tennessee Tech is apparently still having issues getting over its 55-point shutout loss to Tennessee suffered in November. How else do you explain a recent tweet sent out by the official Tech football account following Derek Barnett’s selection as the No. 14 overall pick to the Philadelphia Eagles?

Not long after Barnett was handed his Eagles jersey, here’s what Tennessee Tech had to say about Barnett:

Note: Tennessee Tech quickly deleted this tweet but here’s screenshot of the tweet. The video featured a double team forcing Barnett away from the action of the play.

Great job team, you really showed Barnett on that play. Keep in mind the Vols won this game by over half a hundred points, the offense put up 471 yards of total offense, the defense held Tech to 224 yards of total offense — holding them to only 60 yards on the ground, and Tennessee Tech failed to score a single point in the game.

For a tweet calling out a player’s run defense, you’d think the team would have rushed for over 60 yards in the game.
