Marty Smith sends impassioned plea to Dolly Parton
Marty Smith has made a pitch to Dolly Parton to come join his show on Saturday.
Parton, a Tennessee legend from nearby Sevierville, announced that she would be in attendance for the Vols’ game against Georgia on Saturday.

Now Smith is trying to get the legendary country singer and actress on his show, Marty & McGee on SEC Network, which will be on campus ahead of the Tennessee vs. Georgia matchup on Saturday.
Smith wrote a letter via social media, making his pitch to Parton to come on the show. Smith even said that the show would be willing to supply security, transportation, coffee, and “couches constructed of 1965 Chevys.”
Dearest, Ms. @DollyParton,
You are wonderful, an icon among icons.
This is an invitation to chat on my television program, Marty & McGee on @SECNetwork, Saturday morning on Rocky Top.

Smith said that rather than GameDay, SEC Network would have “DollyDay” on Saturday.
Having Parton on campus on Saturday could be the extra motivation that Tennessee needs this weekend as the Vols look for a huge upset against Georgia. Tennessee is coming off a crushing loss against Missouri and look to bounce back this weekend.
