Tennessee has added another fresh face to the new-look offensive staff on Rocky Top this offseason and this move likely comes at the behest of Jim Chaney.
Former Kentucky offensive graduate assistant Michael Colosimo announced on Thursday that he has been added to the Tennessee coaching staff. He is expected to be an offensive quality control coach upon his arrival at Tennessee. During his three-year stint in Lexington, Colosimo worked under tight ends coach Vince Marrow, who is regarded by many as Kentucky’s best recruiter.
The 2019 season will mark the second season Colosimo will have worked under Tennessee’s new offensive coordinator, as Colosimo worked under Chaney on the Pitt coaching staff back in 2015. Before getting into coaching, Colosimo was a walk-on quarterback at Cincinnati, where he played for Tommy Tuberville.
Colosimo announced his addition to the Tennessee staff with the following post on Twitter:
For those who don’t know, my GA time at UK has run out and I have accepted a job at the University of Tennessee! Thank you Lexington and UK! I’m excited to start my new chapter!
