Montario Hardesty is on the move once again this offseason.

After spending the 2018 season as an offensive analyst in Knoxville, Hardesty left Tennessee for a promotion, following former Volunteer offensive coordinator Tyson Helton to Western Kentucky. However, that position remained filled only briefly by Hardesty as the former Tennessee running back has left WKU for a position on Charlotte’s new coaching staff.

Charlotte head coach Will Healy is expected to name Hardesty as the program’s new receivers coach, according to David Scott of the Charlotte Observer. Hardesty is a North Carolina native.

During his Tennessee career, Hardesty rushed for 2,391 yards and 26 touchdowns. He broke out during his senior season under head coach Lane Kiffin and offensive coordinator Jim Chaney. During the 2009 season, Hardesty rushed for 1,345 yards and 13 scores.

Hardesty went on to be selected in the second round, 59th overall, of the 2010 NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns.
