Ever since Jeremy Pruitt took over as the coach of the Tennessee Volunteers, the team has been scouting the JUCO ranks extensively.

On Tuesday afternoon, they added another big piece to their 2019 class, this one along the defensive line.

As you can see in the tweet below, 2019 3-star JUCO DT Savion Williams, who currently plays for Lackawanna Community College, announced he was committing to Tennessee:

According to the 247Sports rankings, Williams is the No. 1 JUCO defensive tackle in the class of 2019 and the No. 2 overall JUCO player from Maryland.

The Vols now have 18 players in their 2019 class. Prior to Williams’ commitment, the class ranked No. 6 in the SEC and No. 14 nationally, per 247Sports.
