Newest Tennessee commit trolled Alabama before picking Vols
Nashville, Tennessee, native William Griffin-Parker committed to Tennessee over Alabama Friday afternoon, but not before he trolled the Crimson Tide.
CBS Sports had the commitment live, and he first picked up the Alabama hat that drew some cheers from his family. He then turned the tables and committed to the in-state Volunteers.
Here’s the troll Tide:

“At the end point, it was more about the relationship with the coaches,” Griffin-Parker said of his decision.
The talented lineman became the Vols’ 26th commitment for the class of 2021. Griffin-Parker was down to the 2 SEC schools before finally opting to commit to Tennessee. The 6-foot-5, 325-pound 3-star offensive lineman is ranked as the nation’s No. 34 offensive tackle, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Well Im not a fan of that stuff but at least he didn’t throw the bama the across the room. its better to have it done to another team for a change. We had our fair share of troll jobs over the last few years. Of course bama will do a big Y-A-W-N over a 3* trolling them. Rightfully so…..for now.
Agree fuzzy well said.
Great pickup!
At 26 recruits, how many more commits can Tennessee take?
Numbers don’t really matter till they actually sign. Looking at that roster they could use a fresh 85.
Your right, until they sign the NIL it is all up for grabs. Speaking of rosters, from the looks of the Auburn game last year and the Clemson beat down in the CFP the year before, you self-proclaimed inbreds could use a little roster freshing yourselves.
You have to add up the last four years for Bama to equal the Vols losses last season…. LMAO
You’d think losing to a team 13 times in a row would make you not want to mention their name.
You would think with Bama being down the last 2 years that UT could have beat them. How many years has that been? Comparing 2 bad plays against Auburn and making it to the Natty against the decade long dumpster fire at UT is ludicrous. UT…. champions of life.
The worm will turn….it always has and it always will.
I’m thinking that the consensus among volunteer faithful at this point, is that the proverbial “worm” is sure taking his dang sweet time about it.
He’s massive, looks bigger than 325.
I was thinking the same thing. Wow, they keep getting bigger don’t they?
No problem whatsoever with that…Its his big moment, that he’s earned…Happy for him…Nice pick-up for the Vols.
I believe him when he said it was about relationships, but I believe that when he looked at what Bama has committed on the OL this year, he said I’ll pass.
I watched JC Latham tonight; he is massive and moves like a LB. Incedible feet for a big man.
Where did you see him?
IMG played Venice on ESPNU.
Good to see Nashville kids staying home.
GO VOLS
Go Vols
I saw him thank his mother but why didn’t he thank his father, too?
