Iamaleava is listed at 6-foot-5 and is out of Long Beach, California released the video to Instagram where he announced his plans for his college career.
“My greatest strength is being able to make every throw,” he said. “At 6-6, I’m able to move, get out of the pocket. I think I’m the full package. For a quarterback, you’ve gotta have some swag, confidence in yourself, and yeah, you’ve got to go make it happen. I definitely think I’m the best quarterback in the class. I’m trying to be that impact player that brings that national championship back.”

Iamaleava’s commitment to Josh Heupel is considered a landmark recruiting win for the second-year coach. The Vols beat out Oregon, Alabama, Georgia and Miami for Iamaleava. He is considered the No. 7 player in the class of 2023, and the No. 4 QB in this class, along with being the No. 2 player in California, according to the 247Sports Composite.
Iamaleava is somewhat of a rising star as a football recruit after he received his first scholarship offer as a volleyball player.
