When it comes to sending players to the Super Bowl, Tennessee’s only equal is Miami.

According to Dan Parr of NFL.com, going all the way back to the 1970 AFL-NFL merger, Tennessee has sent 61 players to the Super Bowl. Only Miami can match that number. The next highest SEC team on the list is Georgia with 47, which ties for 11th.

Florida has sent 43 (14th best), Alabama 40 (15th), Texas A&M 36 (tied for 21st) with LSU rounding out the list at 34 (tied for 23rd).

If a player made multiple Super Bowls, they were only counted once and the list only includes active players that participated in the game – although active players on Atlanta and New England were counted despite not yet seeing the field.
