In recent weeks, there have been a few rumors surrounding the Tennessee football program and coach Jeremy Pruitt’s future.

Some speculation even involves AD Phillip Fulmer returning to the sidelines to coach the Vols once again.

Pruitt’s Vols sit 1-3 after suffering an embarrassing week 1 loss to Georgia State. The Vols then lost to BYU the very next weekend, too. Most recently, Florida hammered the Vols 34-3 in Gainesville. Naturally, fans are upset through five weeks.

On Wednesday night, Fulmer appeared on the weekly Vol Calls radio program to address those rumors and support Pruitt. He said his coaching days are done:

Those are certainly interesting comments, but it seems to put the rumors to bed for now, at least. Don’t be surprised if this gets talked about more if Tennessee loses big to Georgia on Saturday.

Things aren’t going great on Rocky Top these days, and the Fulmer rumors aren’t going away anytime soon.
