A University of Tennessee student told Knoxville authorities that two members of the Tennessee football team, A.J. Johnson and Michael Williams, raped her Sunday morning, according to a police report obtained by the Knoxville News Sentinel.

The 19-year-old woman said the incident occurred around 1:45 a.m in an apartment complex near UT’s campus and lasted about 45 minutes. A second 19-year-old woman accused Williams of sexual assault at the same location. No charges have been filed against either player.

Johnson and Williams were suspended Monday from all team activities. Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell Debusk confirmed that the investigation began about 3 a.m. Sunday.

“One victim indicated she had been raped by two males and the second female indicated she was a victim of a sexual assault,” Debusk said. “Once we finish our investigation, we’ll turn it over to the district attorney.”

The police report also confirmed that the woman who said she was raped received medical attention. The woman who said she was assaulted, who was visiting the campus over the weekend, did not need medical treatment and has since returned to Florida.

Assistant District Attorney General Sean McDermott told the Sentinel on Tuesday that the case is still under investigation. He declined to say whether the two players had been interviewed by authorities, according to the Sentinel.
