Earlier this month, Tennessee granted the release of sophomore wide receiver Preston Williams.

Williams, who is still taking classes in Knoxville, isn’t sure where he will be playing next season — or whether he’ll even be playing football at all.

“Right now we’re still just trying to look into it,’ Williams’ high school coach told 247Sports. “There’s a lot going on with the entire process, so he doesn’t know if he’ll be able to play next year or not. Right now just trying to find the right fit, stay positive and keep moving forward.”

247Sports ranked Williams as a five-star prospect and the No. 3 overall receiver for the 2015 recruiting class. He finished his Volunteer career with 16 receptions for 247 yards and two touchdowns.

Per John Brice, Miami-Fl., California and UCLA are potential suitors for the highly-touted pass-catcher from Georgia.
