Vol Twitter predicts eventual Quinten Dormady Heisman run as Houston announces addition of former Tennessee QB
Quinten Dormady’s addition to the Houston roster was made official on Tuesday as the school announced the former Tennessee quarterback has been added to the roster. Dormady is eligible to compete for the Cougars immediately, as he has already earned his undergraduate degree and left Knoxville as a graduate transfer.
Dormady was the first quarterback to replace Joshua Dobbs in the starting lineup for Tennessee, beginning the 2017 season as the team’s starter. He ended up completing just over 55 percent of his passes and had 925 passing yards and six touchdowns with six interceptions. His production wasn’t helped by the fact he was injured and did not see meaningful action after the Georgia game on Sept. 30.
Not long after the end of the 2017 regular season, and the coaching change in Knoxville, Dormady announced he would be leaving Tennessee. He announced his intention to transfer to Houston back in May but the move was not official until now.
Based on some of the comments below, his injury wasn’t the most damning aspect of his time on Rocky Top, it was the fact that Butch Jones was his head coach.

The decision to finish out his career in Houston will be a bit of a homecoming for Dormady, as he is a native of Boerne, Texas. Dormady was a four-star prospect coming out of Boerne High School.
Predictably, some Tennessee fans are expecting Dormady to realize his full potential now that he’s no longer being coached by the likes of Butch Jones and Larry Scott. Here are a few of the more entertaining responses to the news of Dormady’s addition down in Houston:

He’s going to be a stud under an average HC & OC.
