Rece Davis has high praise for ‘electric’ atmosphere in Knoxville for Tennessee-Florida

Rece Davis and ESPN College GameDay were in Knoxville this past Saturday for Tennessee’s big rivalry win over Florida.
Davis joined Peter Burns and Chris Doering on Monday’s edition of “SEC This Morning” and was asked about the environment.
He was effusive in his praise of the Volunteer faithful.
“It was electric,” Davis said. “I know we probably overuse those types of words, but they camped out the night before to get places close to the set. It was a sea of people who were hungry. … They were ravenous to beat the Gators.”
Added Davis: “It was just a great morning and a lot of fun. Everyone was nice, and the signs were hilarious. It was fun.”

Tennessee is now 4-0 on the season and ranked No. 8 in the latest AP Top 25.
The Volunteers are off this weekend before returning to action at LSU on October 8.
