Recently dismissed Tennessee wide receiver Jauan Jennings struck a different tone Saturday than the Instagram post earlier this week that precipitated his dismissal from the team.

Jennings thanked the team’s seniors and fans, and being away from the team is “killing me minute by minute, second by second. Definitely will miss my VOL NATION the most.”

That followed an Instagram rant after the coaching staff said he wouldn’t play against Vanderbilt. Soon after that video aired, interim coach Brady Hoke announced that the star wide receiver had been dismissed from the team.

Jennings has missed the majority of the season after he dislocated his wrist in the season opener against Georgia Tech, an injury that required surgery. He caught three passes for 17 yards against Tech.

Jennings may be most remembered at Tennessee for his Hail Mary catch at Georgia last season, and a long touchdown catch against Florida.
