On Friday, senior kicker Brent Cimaglia announced he would be entering the transfer portal seeking to finish his college football career elsewhere. Cimaglia’s holder has now entered the portal as well.

David Ubben of The Athletic reports that Volunteers punter Joe Doyle has entered his name into the transfer portal. As Doyle has previously demonstrated, it doesn’t necessarily mean he is leaving the program. Doyle entered his name into the transfer portal after the 2019 season but returned to UT for the 2020 campaign.

Doyle’s role has been reduced. He was named a freshman All-American by USA Today in 2018, punting 65 times that season. In 2019, however, he punted just 21 times. This past season, Doyle appeared in all 10 Tennessee games as the Vols’ holder with no punts. Paxton Brooks was UT’s primary punter the past two seasons.
