Chip Lindsey is the current Auburn offensive coordinator, but the system that the Tigers run is all the work of head coach Gus Malzahn.

Is that system too strict for Lindsey? That’s what some think, as Malzahn is pretty rigid in what he wants from his coordinators.

According to a tweet from Tennessee insider John Brice on Tuesday night, Lindsey is in the mix to fill the vacant Tennessee OC job that used to belong to Tyson Helton:

Helton is the new head coach at Western Kentucky, so Jeremy Pruitt has a hole to fill on his staff.

Freeze is currently getting set for his first year as an OC in the new Alliance of American Football, but an offer from the Vols would likely bring him back to the college game.
