Report: Former Tennessee QB Tee Martin not expected to be Vols' new offensive coordinator
The Tennessee Volunteers are reportedly closing in on Alabama DC Jeremy Pruitt to be the school’s next head coach.
However, a popular former Tennessee QB, Tee Martin, isn’t expected to join the new coaching staff, as the USC offensive coordinator isn’t likely to be a part of Pruitt’s staff.
ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reports that Martin was contacted during new AD Phillip Fulmer’s search, but was never interviewed for the position of either offensive coordinator or head coach:

That will upset some Tennessee fans, many of whom would have at least liked to have seen Martin get an interview for the head coaching position.
However, Martin is having plenty of success at USC and will be fine with or without his alma mater. Now, though, if Pruitt does officially sign a contract with the Vols, he’ll have his work cut out for him to hire a top-notch offensive coordinator.
