Report: Key Texas A&M assistant, a former Vol, leaving to join Tennessee's staff
The Tennessee Volunteers are reportedly getting a new assistant coach, and the coach will be joining the staff from another SEC team’s staff.
Per a report from Texas A&M’s 247Sports site, a top assistant from Jimbo Fisher’s staff will be heading northeast to Knoxville to join Jeremy Pruitt and the Vols.
Per the report, Texas A&M RB coach/co-offensive coordinator Jay Graham is leaving the Aggies in favor of the Vols.
Graham was a former standout for the Vols, so it’s possible he just wanted to return home to a place he’s familiar with. Plus, with the Vols on the rise in the SEC East, perhaps he wanted to be a part of what Pruitt is putting together at his alma mater.
Now, Fisher and the Aggies have a spot to fill on their staff, so we’ll see what direction that search goes as the offseason wears on.
We had been reporting that Texas A&M RB coach Jay Graham was likely headed to Tennessee and it looks like that is the casehttps://t.co/t4Ez6gdHCJ
