If and when Tennessee finally hires a head coach (Alabama DC Jeremy Pruitt appears likely to take the job), the new coach will have to assemble a coaching staff quickly.

Should Pruitt take the job, it’s unlikely that former Tennessee QB Tee Martin would leave USC to become the Vols’ offensive coordinator, so Pruitt would have to look elsewhere.

According to Outkick the Coverage’s Clay Travis, the Vols are one of multiple SEC schools taking a look at former Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze for the OC opening:

Other schools that may be considering Freeze include Mizzou, which just lost Josh Heupel to UCF.

Where Freeze ends up remains to be seen, but he is a talented offensive mind and could really help whatever school he ends up at in 2018.
