The Tennessee Volunteers continue to be plagued by players entering the NCAA transfer portal.

OL Wanya Morris, LB Henry To’o To’o and RB Eric Gray, among others, have left the program after coach Jeremy Pruitt’s firing.

On Monday night, the hits continued. Per’s Matt Zenitz, former 4-star LB J.J. Peterson has become the latest Vol to enter the transfer portal:

Peterson was the top recruit in the Vols’ 2018 class. Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Peterson was the No. 3 outside linebacker in the class and the No. 7 overall recruit from the state of Georgia.

Peterson didn’t see any action in 2020. In 2018 and 2019 combined, he appeared in 17 games, recording a grand total of 12 tackles.
