Tennessee appears to have lost some depth up front as sophomore offensive lineman Chance Hall has reportedly underwent surgery on his knee. The timetable for his return is uncertain at this point.

The news was first reported by John Brice of GoVols247. Hall appeared in 10 games at right tackle for the Vols as a true freshman in 2015, which included starting in the team’s last seven games. He had been competing to start at right tackle for the Vols in fall camp.

Hall earned several accolades in his first season included being named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll and All-SEC Freshman Team. He helped Tennessee’s offensive line block for a rushing attack that accounted for 2,908 yards, the second most in school history.

Look for Volunteer head coach Butch Jones to address Hall’s status during his next media availability.
