Josh Dobbs has long showed off his pride of being a Vol for Life and keeping up with his alma mater while playing in the NFL.

So when Tennessee landed in the TaxSlayer Bowl in Jacksonville, it offered another connection for the Jaguars quarterback. The 7-5 Vols will take on the 8-4 Indiana Hoosiers at 7 p.m. on Jan. 2.

In a promotional video shared by the Jaguars, Dobbs whistles a familiar tune to the Vol Nation, and then added on Twitter, “Wouldn’t have been complete without the “Wooh!”

Dobbs was traded from Pittsburgh to Jacksonville in September in exchange for a 2020 fifth-round pick. He was a fourth-round pick in 2017.

Jacksonville is a familiar destination for Dobbs and the Vols.

Dobbs’ first bowl game appearance came in the TaxSlayer Bowl at the end of the 2014 season, the Vols’ first bowl berth since 2010. Tennessee beat Iowa in the TaxSlayer Bowl, 45-28, to finish 7-6 and give UT its first winning season since 2009. Dobbs was 16-for-21 passing in that game for 129 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He also had 76 yards rushing and 2 scores.
