One of the consistently biggest topics of the year in college football at any given point is the Heisman Trophy race. That has continued to be the case heading into Week 9, with some exciting new names emerging.

When former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III released his latest list of Heisman frontrunners this week with some potential dark horse names within it. Griffin included 4 quarterbacks — Hendon Hooker (Tennessee), CJ Stroud (Ohio State), Max Duggan (TCU) and Lindsey Scott Jr. (UIW).

He also had one running back in Fighting Illini rusher Chase Brown.

Duggan is among the newer names to enter the conversation, most recently completing 65.4% of his passes for 280 yards with 3 touchdowns en route to a 38-28 win over No. 17-ranked Kansas State.
