Ronan O’Connell is a 3-star prospect and offensive lineman out of Fred J. Page High School in Franklin, Tennessee. He’s an in-state target for the Vols in the 2024 recruiting class, and he’s preparing to make his final decision.

Previously, O’Connell released a final group of Tennessee, Clemson and Wisconsin. On Monday, he set a July 4 commitment date with his announcement coming at 2 pm ET.

O’Connell is listed at 6-foot-4.5 and 290 pounds as an offensive tackle prospect for the next level. The 247 Sports Composite rates O’Connell as a 3-star recruit and the 43rd OT in the country for the class of 2024. He’s also the No. 17 player out of Tennessee.

O’Connell received his offer from the Vols this spring and took an unofficial visit and an official visit to the program in May and June, respectively. He also spent June taking official visits to his other 2 finalists but is currently projected by his 247 Sports Crystal Ball to decide between the Vols and Clemson.

As things currently stand, Tennessee holds the No. 10 recruiting class in the country per the 247 Sports Team Composite. The Vols have 5 in-state commitments included in that group.
