The Tennessee Volunteers were surprised to learn that WR Jauan Jennings had received punishment for a sideline incident during the Vanderbilt game.
Jennings will be suspended for the first half of whatever bowl game Tennessee ends up in this postseason.
After learning of the suspension, Tennessee AD Phillip Fulmer issued a response, praising Jennings’ character:
Phillip Fulmer issued this response:
“Commissioner Sankey shared his perspective on the actions in question, we had a long conversation about the matter, and we will honor the suspension.
“Jauan has been nothing but outstanding for our team and program this entire season.” https://t.co/6gZ4yiCE8r

Jennings is likely disappointed to have to miss half of his last game in a Tennessee uniform, but it’s safe to say he’ll be motivated in the second half against whatever team the Vols end up playing.
