With senior QB Joshua Dobbs graduating after the 2016 season, the Tennessee Volunteers will be searching for a new quarterback next season.

However, 2017 recruit C.J. Lewis won’t be in the mix in Knoxville. According to 247Sports, the Vols and Lewis will part ways after Lewis committed to the school in July.

Lewis made the announcement on Twitter Tuesday night:

According to 247Sports, Lewis, a three-star prospect, is the No. 28 dual-threat quarterback in the class of 2017 and the No. 8 overall recruit from the state of Connecticut.
