As Hurricane Florence continues to wreak havoc on the Carolina coast, many people are fleeing inland.

Though football is insignificant in times like these, Tennessee offered tickets to storm evacuees for Saturday’s game against UTEP.

That was a classy gesture, and it appears that many evacuees took the Vols up on the offer. At the game, the school announced that over 1,000 free tickets were given away:

It won’t matter much, but it is cool to see so many evacuees taking advantage of a chance to have some fun amid all the chaos.

Early in the second quarter, Tennessee leads 3-0 over a terrible UTEP squad, so hopefully the Vols provide more fireworks before all is said and done.
