Under Rick Barnes’ leadership, Tennessee hasn’t been shy when it comes to scheduling tough non-conference matchups. That trend looks to be continuing as the 2020 Charleston Classic field has been leaked.

If you are unfamiliar with the Charleston Classic, it’s a three-day annual event held in Charleston, South Carolina. Virginia Tech won the latest Charleston Classic with the upcoming event set to be held on Nov. 21, 22 and 24. UConn, Florida, Miami (Fla.), Missouri State, Penn State, Saint Joseph’s, Towson and Xavier are set to play in the 2019 edition of the event.

According to Jeff Goodman of Stadium, Tennessee will be among the teams featured at the event in 2020. Houston, Florida State, Seton Hall, VCU, Oklahoma State, Penn State and Charleston are all set to join the Vols in the 2020 edition of the event.

Even if the Vols don’t win the event, there’s a great chance Barnes and his squad will walk away with at least one quality win from this event, which not only improves the team’s resume come NCAA Tournament time but helps to prepare the Vols for the grind of the SEC slate.
