Tennessee DE Darrell Taylor has missed the last two games due to a suspension stemming from an altercation with OL Trey Smith in practice.

When the Vols take the field against Kentucky on Saturday night, though, the redshirt sophomore will be back in action.

Tennessee coach Butch Jones announced the news in a statement on Saturday afternoon, saying Taylor had completed what was asked of him:

“Darrell has completed the requirements we had set for him to return to play and he will be available tonight against Kentucky,” Jones said in the statement. “He must continue to meet criteria we have set forth for him on a daily and weekly basis.”

Taylor has 20 tackles in five games this year, so he’ll be a big boost to the Vols’ defensive line against the Wildcats.

Saturday night’s game in Lexington kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time on the SEC Network.
