When Tennessee faces the Purdue Boilermakers in the Music City Bowl, they will be without one of their best players, Alontae Taylor, who has declared for the NFL Draft and won’t play in the game.

Vols defensive coordinator Tim Banks discusses how Tennessee plans to handle his absence.

“These guys love to play the game. These guys understand that any opportunity they get to step on the field is a blessing. A lot of guys say that, but these guys live that.”

Banks said he thinks his players are ready to step up to the challenge.

“Every year is a different year with guys coming and guys leaving. We’ll break [the scheme] down to the bones, and then we’ll build it back up again based on the attributes for the guys we have in those spots.”

The Vols will face the Boilermakers on Dec 30.
