Tennessee hasn’t gotten off to the start it hoped for this season. Things could quickly change on Saturday.

After getting off to a 1-2 start that has included losses to Georgia State and BYU, the Vols will look to open conference play with a win as they travel to Florida for the annual “Third Saturday in September” rivalry matchup against the Gators.

Although it’s been a rough beginning to 2019 for Tennessee, the season could take a much different turn if the Vols can upset the No. 9 Gators, one of their top rivals, on the road.

Ahead of Saturday’s game, the Vols released a thrilling hype video that should get their fans even more excited for their SEC opener:

Tennessee hasn’t had much recent success against Florida, as the Gators have won 13 of the last 14 matchups against the Vols. The only time Tennessee won during that stretch was 2016, when it notched a 38-28 victory in Knoxville.

The Vols haven’t won in Gainesville since 2003, which came at a time when the rivalry series was more competitive.

Tennessee and Florida are set to kick off on Saturday at noon ET on ESPN.
